Avocado Days
Avocado Days started quite simply in 2022. After PSLE, some of our students would come back to the centre for a day or two just to hang out, eat together, play Nintendo Switch, card games and board games, and enjoy having absolutely nothing academic to worry about for a while.
Before long, the idea spread beyond the PSLE students and became something the whole centre looked forward to. But we also felt that our students needed more chances to get out of the classroom and spend time together in a completely different environment.
So from 2023, Avocado Days grew into an annual trip to Mawai Adventures in Kota Tinggi, Malaysia. The trips give students a chance to explore the outdoors, try unfamiliar activities, get muddy, work together and simply enjoy one another’s company away from school and classes. We returned again in 2024 and 2025, and by then it had become one of our favourite Avocado traditions.
We unfortunately had to skip our June 2026 trip because many of us were away for the World Scholar’s Cup, but Avocado Days are very much here to stay.
